FREDDIE MAC APPOINTS JOSEPH A. ROSSI SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT FOR SECURITIES AND TREASURY OPERATIONS
McLean, VA – Freddie Mac (NYSE:FRE) today announced that it has named Joseph A. Rossi senior vice president, Securities and Treasury Operations, a new position, effective March 28. Rossi, 52, most recently was senior vice president, executive director and chief operations officer for Global Securities Services at Mellon Financial Corporation, responsible for global custody and accounting services. Rossi managed a team of 2,500 associates located throughout North America and Europe.
Rossi will be responsible for managing operations related to Freddie Mac’s mortgage securities issuance and settlement, debt issuance and settlement, derivative settlement and asset management. Freddie Mac is one of the largest issuers of debt in the world, and manages the remittance of funds to investors on six continents. Rossi reports to Michael C. May, senior vice president of Operations.
"Joe is a great addition to the Freddie Mac Operations team. He’s an experienced securities industry professional with a track record of excellence," said May.
Prior to joining Mellon in 2001, Rossi held a series of increasingly responsible management and strategy positions at Chase Manhattan Bank/J.P. Morgan. Most recently he was senior vice president, business executive for the Strategic Initiatives Group.
Rossi earned his Master of Business Administration degree at Iona College and his Bachelor of Science degree from Bryant College.
